I have a tube of "Aquamend" underwater repair epoxy. It's basically a fiberglass repair epoxy. It's tube shaped, 2 different colors, when you squish them together it starts curing. A good way to avoid that tank getting knocked over would be to cut an O (a ring shape, doughnut) out of wood (or whateve) and use it as a base. I'd say adhere it to the glass as well.
