Look to go fishing with some kids in Sheepshead Bay. Anyone know which one is good.. I know there's a afternoon schedule.. Anyone?

Thanks

Captain Dave is pretty family friendly but try to stay away from weekend trips as they get pretty crowded. If you're up for a drive, the Captree boats are also family friendly and nice as they cater to a more family and touristy clientele than the Sheapshead boats.

Yeah I've been to the sea queen. Just generally speaking from the experience i had on there, I wouldn't recommend you bringing kids along. It's been a while since i've been on there though, but it's cause i've basically vowed to not go to sheepshead bay again.

I use to go on the Pastime Princess. very nice captain and crew. Like other members wrote i find you get alot of drunks and cursing on most of the party boats out of sheepshead bay. Capt Mike and the Angler (CAPT TONY)out of howard beach are both family friendly. Both capts are very nice

Stay away from Sea Queen - for more than one reason. Most of the Sheapshead boats are not exactly family friendly. I havent been there in a year but I remember the Capt Dave still being around. Try driving down Emmons ave and seeing whats still there. I never went on the Angler so cant comment but Captree is very family friendly - if you go look for the Captree or Island Princess. I'm sure there are good boats closer to Brooklyn though.

If you're willing to drive, you can head to the Atlantic Highlands out in NJ. Most boats there are family friendly. I always head for the Atlantic Star. Friendly crew and captain. Shouldn't go on weekends though. Too crowded. Just like any other fishing boat on weekends.

Stay away from the Sea Queen! I was very unhappy with it the last time I took it....and don't waste your money on the pool...because all the mates are in on it and spend all their time fishing, keeping the best quality bait for themselves. The Capt. Dave is right next to it....much better, but its still a Sheepshead Bay crowd....lots of drunks, pot, cursing.... The Howard Beach boats are much mellower and friendlier. I already mentioned The Angler...and someone else mentioned the Captn Mike....my only problem when I took that boat was that the entire crowd-100%- along with the entire crew were all heavy smokers. Friendliest people you could meet....but it was hard for me (non-smoker, severely allergic to tobacco) to breathe, and I couldn't go inside the cabin at all.

this was the first boat i ever went on to party boat fish and it is easy fishing, using the jigs instead of bait. caught a bunch of blues and some sand shark that day (almost 10 years ago now)

very good crew and nice people, large boat and less crowded usually than the Sheepshead bay boats.

again thats at sheepshead bay, so you can expect sheepshead bay crowds. And they aren't very family friendly, a lot of drunk and high idiots that curse a lot and are extremely rude.

Take them Half Day fluking on the Marilyn Jean Party boat. Clean boat and the captain + crew have all their teeth :). They leave at 7am and 1pm ....I think.

Fritz, Karen Ann are not party boats but thanks for the recommendation.
