Having a bad shroom day. My ASD Candy Crush Jawbreaker shroom which was a bright flourescent orange with some green blotches developing and that was close to 3" in diameter decided to melt out of nowhere. Gave it a couple of iodine dips and it's only about a quarter of the size it use to be. Bummer.

That sucks man. My ASD candy crush bleached on me too.

I got it earlier in the year. When they shipped it, I was afraid it wasn't going to make it because it looked like it was going to melt from the stress of shipping. Water in the bag came in a light brown color with a pepper like substance floating in the bag. I was lucky and able to get it to recover. I recently switched the lights from an Ocean Revive T247 fixture to an AI Sol Blue fixture and have been ramping it up slowing with no higher than 28% blue and 5% white. When that happened, the shroom just detached itself and I kind of knew something was wrong and it went down hill from there. That's what I get form spending top $$$ on non-aquacultured corals which are less hardier in captivity. I'll probably look to get another one that has been passed among hobbyist longer if I can find one. It does make a difference like the WWC Bounce which started my craze.

Cornbred Orange Bounce Closeup

Got this one off of an eBay vendor exactly a month ago as a Cornbred Orange Bounce Shroom. I didn't get this directly from Cornbred, which I hate to say his pics are oversaturated with blue so it is very hard to really tell what you are getting. It's grown 1/2" from the time I bought it and now roughly 1.5" in diameter. It looks more and more like my two other ReefKoi Bouncer shrooms that I got directly from the source. What do you think? Here is a closeup.

ARC Orange Bounce and Supreme Reefs Morphling Shroom closeup

I really like the ARC Orange Bounce. The base is about 1.5" in diameter and that orange bubble is about 3/8" diameter inflated during the day. The Supreme Reefs Morphling Shroom has a bubble that is about 1/2" in diameter and the others about 3/8" with a blue green overtone with orange spots on the bubbles.

The huge red devil I picked up started to melt and eventually disappeared. Tried several iodine dips and it didn't work. I got this off eBay over a month ago as well and another one of those that are imported, chopped up and then sold to us hobbyist. Life expectancy is much shorter than ones that have been traded in the hobby for some time.

WWC Bounce Shroom top down pics

Yellow, orange and a tint of green coming out of these bubbles . Started dosing a drop of lugol's iodine once a day.
