Hi everybody i have a buddy with high temp problems for the last several weeks due to the summer heat and of course he lost plenty of fish. He is tired of using a fan pointed at his sump and leaving the a/c on all day while he is at work.Question is what size chiller would he need for a 110 gallon fish only tank and he is bent on getting one no matter what. thanks for any input if more details are needed please ask away.

for a 110 I would go with a 1/3 hp chiller.

what's the highest temp the room gets, if the A/C is off?
and what is the average temp of the tank with all the lights on?
he has fans in the hood?

from that you need to figure out the pulldown he will need.

there are a few charts online that will help with this.

Fishtown sells them and and they have them there right now. I was there the other day. If you tell them it is cheaper online They will match price but will add a little for shipping Just give them the site you saw it on. So you can get a little more off. On my 120 I have a 1/4. Works great. I dont have the JBJ because I didnt need the temp controller. But they are great Chillers.
