Humidity issues

Another newbie question :type: ...I was wondering if having a large tank/sump will add excessive humidity to my home. Anyone here with large total water volume having any problems with excesive indoor moisture...and how are you dealing with it?
I am planing a system with aproximately 500gal of total water volume and am a bit nervous about the humidity it will create in my home or am I just paranoid.

You are not being paranoid. It is a valid concern that should be addressed BEFORE it becomes a problem.

Dehumidification is important with a system that large. I wouldn't be surprised if you experience 5-6 gallons a day of evaporation. Evaporation will vary by season. Running an air conditioner in the summer will help.

You may want to invest in a dehumidifier to dry out the air a bit. A tank that size may cause nearby metal to rust as living on a beach can.
