Question about Kalkwasser & B-Ionic 2 part System

Can Kalkwasser be added to the tank while B-Ionic 2 part System is dossed? Some explanation please.

Yes, they can be dosed together. However, they must be dosed in different locations and/or different times to prevent precipitation.

While many people dose Kalk and 2 part, no one has been able to give me a good reason to do so. Since most people dose Kalk with their makeup water, the amount dosed on any given day is contingent upon how much water evaporates. It makes it hard to consistently does the same amount, as the amount of water that evaporates is not consistent from day to day, the amount of two part should fluctuate as well i.e. the more evapration and the more kalk that is added the less two part that is needed to maintain your alk and calcium levels.

If you are dosing a specfied amount of Kalk water with a doser, and not as top off water, it kind of begs the question of why go to the trouble of dosing Kalk and Two Part?

I just use the 2 part B-ionic. I once tried kalk, but I didn't have enough evaporation to make it worthwhile, so I ended up dosing the B-ionic in addition. I haven't bothered with kalk since. Take care, Eric
