ok i have a red covering on sone of my frags of zoo's, i think it is smothering them. they arent opening and starting to disolve, anything i can do ? i dont have the red growing on anything else. it kinda looks like red slime algea. is there a dip or should i just toss these? any help would be appriciated. ty rick

Its sounds like cyano, can you post a picture? that would really help everyone work out whats going on.
I would try removing the frag and washing it in some tank water, then throw the water you washed it in away and see if it comes back.

this has happened to my zoas before. happens when your zoas are weak or sick. rub it off or turkey blast it and put them somewhere with a little more flow and good light.. see if that helps

Blast the crap out of it with a turkey baster, you cant damage your zoos with water flow and it will get most of it off, if it doesnt come off with water flow it might be something else. either way, I would try and wash it off in a seperate bucket of old tank water so you can remove the cyano from the tank
Again a picture would make this problem much easier to solve
