Higher the temperature, ORP(oxygen level) drops, and everything move a lot faster, ie molecules, cycles, metabolism. So if you have a small tank, I think its better to keep it at lower temp, b/c it will slow down the cycle and give your fish/livestock some room for error
By this I mean if something dies, NH3, NO2, NO3, PO4 is not going to spike as fast; leading to more stress. Thas my theory...
Sprung said from his study that some zooxanthellae tissues break down after extinuating period above normal temp ie 84deg. (bleaching) due to breaking amino chain and rebonding :banghead: @ different angle.
