I read that leathers are somewhat peaceful corals, but there should be space inbetween them and other corals. I was just curious how close i could put a toadstool leather and a finger leather. If they touched would they sting each other?

Leathers are pretty nonaggressive, but almost all corals should have space between them. If leathers and finger leather's touch, nothing catastrophic will happen, but polyps may retract, corals may slime a bit, and growth rates will be stunted. I'd call it a mild burn ;) It's probably not going to kill either colonies, but it's not the best thing for them either.
