i don't know what di stands for.it's a culligan 3 filter w/finnisher.they make one with a nitrate remover and one without.75%is reportedly removed.not sure which one i have.the test indicator reports it is working.i might just get new filters for it.but i'll still be using water with nitrate in it if in fact it is working properly.just wondering what is normal, and if i need to make adjustments.

Sorry, DI = deionizing cartridge. Not familiar with Culligan's units so I can't really comment on whether the unit is working well or not, but if this is a drinking water setup it's possible/likely that you don't have a DI stage. If that's the case, it's could be normal to have some nitrate in the product water (even when the unit is working correctly).

If this is a basic RO unit and does not have a DI stage, you can always add one which should eliminate the nitrate in the product water.

Do you know how old the prefilter cartridges are in this unit? If they're more than 6 months old you should probably change them - helps to preserve your membrane.
