My new plan is a 125 FOWLR, ready for the reef in just two moves (new lights and coral) I have the plumbing set up and only need to put a baffle in the refugium to give it a dry (wet) run. Then add 3 power heads and I’ll be ready for the live rock and the sand. Three to eight weeks later I can put my precious little fishes in it. This is what I have or will have:
125gal tank
GenX 70 pump 1570 gph +4 foot head with 2 returns
1 Berlin classic skimmer
1 wet dry sump with bio balls removed and 3lbs of live rock rubble inside
1 10gal refugium with 5+lbs of live sand and macro algae
1 hang on side refugium 19x4 x12 with 13 watt PC
3 1100 Rio power heads
2 250 watt heaters (will not fit in sump) 1 in refugium 1 in tank
450 lbs of sand
50 lbs of live sand totaling 6 inch sand bed
8 pieces of 5 inch PVC pipe 5 inches long for support of rocks in sand
150 lbs of live rock
2 thermostats
LIGHTS
2 65 watt actinic bulbs power compact
2 65 watt duel daylight power compact
1 centered 250w MH bulb (I need 2 more to have a reef tank)
ON THE SIDE
1 RO unit
1 45 gal can with lid
1 250 watt heater
1 1100 power head
1 sponge filter (for quarantine tank) in sump
1 air pump (for can and air sponge filter)
QUARINTINE TANK
30 gal tank
1 200 watt heater
1 extra sponge filter
1 thermometer
1 florescent light
6 misc. 5 inch long pieces of PVC pipe
OTHER
Hydrometer
Master test kit
Phosphate test kit
15 gal salt mix
Well… a bunch of stuff
When I get the glass in I will run a test and let you know how it went but for now I would like to know if I missed any thing.
I really want to do this right and have taken my time and done lots of research (Davek has helped me a lot) but I am still worried I missed something. Can you give me advice on my system?
