Keep current tank, or take bigger one for free?

I have a 29gal that is finaly funning great. Now I have a guy that wants to give me a 46gal with a stand for free. The problem is that I dont have the money right now to get lighting for the new tank if I put it all together. Plus there is no canopy ofered for this tank so I can't put my current lighting under the canopy. I would be forced to get a fixture. But it is a bigger tank. and I need the room. Any suggestions? maybe a place to get a cheep fixture or a DIY fixture?

Take it

Put it in storage, or in a closet or something

You can always set it up later when you have the money...


Least that is what I would do...


I need a nice tank for a sump if you want to give it to me by the way......

sounds good. I just with I could use it. If I could only find a canopy, but no one makes one for this tank. sucks.

You can always build a canopy

Or you can put a pendant over it.

there are so many different lighting options that don't involve a canopy its impossible to list them all.

I don't have a canopy, I have a current usa sattelite on my 54....

Or you could give it to me......

If an upgrade is in your furture tank the tank and store it until you get the money.

I would store it also. and if you plan to use a overflow and sump....

take your time buy your parts and when you are ready. transfer the stuff over.... you will be good to go.
