need help with a plate coral

I have a plate coral that only opening up half way. This occured after an algae build up on the CC on the bottom of the tank. I clean the bottom once a week but when on vacation and came back to a not so clean tank. Since then the coral hasnt been doing so well. It seems now to be releasing a slime. Can someone please give me suggsestions on what I can do.

I did have a slight PH drop when I was on vacation but all the other corals and inverts are doing fine. I have corrected the issue. Do you think the algae could have began to grow on the coral. Is there anything I can buy to help elimate it if so? Thanks for all your help. Its impossible finding anything out at the local fish stores.
