Hi again, well i just got a call from my LFS and my new tank was there! WOW i didn't think it was going to be so big , makes my 4ft look so small. Anyway they will cut the holes in the back of the tank tomorrow so i should have it home in the arvo. I was wondering as i want to keep butterflies, are most of them compatable if you only keep one species of each?I now know that it will be near impossible to keep any kinds of coral but would it be ok to keep some kinds of anemones? As im going to stick with tube lighting will anemones be ok?You may well have guessed this will be a big project for me so i want to get things right from the start! Any advice will be more than welcome!!! Tnx Blue tang, i'll post some pics asap. :)

Butterflies can coexist. Different species may be aggressive at first but they settle down With a big tank, you should have no problem. You can't keep anemones with butterflies as these fish are one of the top natural predators of anemones. If you go with butterfly fish, you've pretty much ruled out most invertebrates. Also, anemone care is just as difficult, if not more so, then most corals.

Thanks for you advice Len! Im looking forward to getting some water into the tank. There is a guy with a truck and tank that comes down from the the coast north of where i live , he collects sea water on an incoming tide at a river mouth and comes down to brisbane where he supplies the LFS with new sea water , I talked to him the other day and he will charge $70 for 700 ltrs. If the LFS buy it ,it must be good! Sounds easier than mixing it up in a bucket! Anyway I will try to get some picks asap, just got a phone call today ,seems I won't get the tank now until friday or saturday, not had time to drill the holes ? ggrrrrrrr. Thanks again ,
