My tank has been set up for about two years now and my sump and my over flow box is loaded with little red feater duster is this a good sign?
they seem to be growing on everthing pump and my heater.
It means you have a nutrient rich system which is not a bad thing. The population will ebb and flow with the amount of nutrients available in the water. They have been known to clog pumps, overflows, etc. so if they become a problem just scrape them off.
