I have finally got my lighting right and now I am looking for opinions on a skimmer. I don't have a sump so it would have to hob but money is getting tight. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah i'm going with remora pro also (from snowmansnow)

I've heard alot of bad things from this site and other reviews about the prizm, so don't skip out and go cheap.

check out ebay too for the remora.

Ditto on the Remora Pro.

But when it come to most bang for the buck... nothing will beat a DIY skimmer that cost less than $20, but takes two entire weekends to get it to work properly.

MY OPINION is that YOU DO NOT want a 1 seaclone or 2 prism (of any type).

Ditto on that.....I have had both. I have a Bak-Pak on my 100 gallon and I like it. I have to switch the air tubing often but it works.

I use a deltec...

i had purchased an AquaC Remora Pro and even got the prefilter. Now with my tank it is much shorter than most, i have a 33 Long. The pump disturb the water around it so much that it actually moved the sand around and created a bare spot, so i bought the prefilter...

well getting that thing to either A: stay full and not run dry B: stay on the pump. It was just a pain. Also i had to move the tank to the end of my dresser to alow the skimmer to hang low enough.

I was very upset with AquaC since it said the minimum tank height was 12.75 inches, mine is 13, they dont tell you it hangs below the tank in that case.

Good luck on whatever you choose...

I can take picurtes if you cant get a good shot on there website.
