Propagating?

I am a virgin when it comes to propagation and I need a very descriptive way to do it. Is there a page that shows me step by step or word by word? Futhermore, is it like cutting grissle or bone? Also I have a carnation coral that the rocks on the base are to small and it moves a lot. Can I cut this one all the way of like you would a head of celery and reset it on to another frag?
