It's hard to say, Bill. Sometimes they settle down right away, and sometimes it takes up to a month, or possibly it will wander forever if it doesn't find a good spot. The most frustrating thing is sometimes they decide to settle in a dark spot and starve as a consequence. It seems totally illogical, but it's not uncommon :? I hope yours finds a nice spot soon.

I agree with what Len said. I have a rose BTA ans it stayed where I put it. In another tank I had a green BTA and it never fully settled down in the year or so I had it. About once a month it would move until one day it moved behind the rocks and never came out.

Here's one thing I've found that often helps. Ether find a rock, or if you can't find one, MAKE one that has a nice, deep, irresistible hole for him to sink his foot into. By deep I mean at least 5". The diameter should be in the 2.5 to 3 inch range. Place this rock with access to plenty of light and moderate current, and place the anemone near it, or in it if you can.

It doesn't always work, but I'm had a fair amount of luck when doing this.
