:? I have a new 90 gall All-Glass with built in overflow and their model 3 sump. Im using a Ehim 1262 pump. Why does my water in the overflow constantly change height about a inch. Its girglying and making very loud noise. It seems like the drain doesn't keep up with the return or the drain isn't getting enough air. Has anybody else had this problem?

yup :)\

If it were me I would install a duroso (spelling?) stand pipe. It solved the problem for me. I wouldn't BUY one.. just make one yourself. Maybe someone can provide the link with all the parts for you.

You'll also need to drill a hole in the top of the stand pipe in order to allow air to come in the top so you dont get that flushing sound.

Stand pipe from another tank, but it illistrates the cap used to regulate the air intake.

The dog leg is not necessary in most cases. I had to do that to get around the perimeter braceing. Also, the cap has a few hols drilled through it and the smaller pipe. I sanded the ID of the cap prior to putting it on and drilling so it was easy to turn.
