Corals can get a good bit of their nutrition from photosynthesis. However, there is a limit to how long they photosynthesize, thus, they do seem to be much healthier if they get food as well. Many corals are voracious and will continue to eat as long as you feed them; however, that does put a lot of waste in your system. Therefore, I would start out with every couple off days to every other day, and move up to every day if you want.

Oh yeah, it is really up to you. A decent number of people probably never feed their corals directly. It is a function of how convenient it is for you to do this. Though corals do like to be fed.

Most LPS will benefit from feeding meaty foods, and I fed mine once daily.
