Cycle tank question

My new 156 Gal has 160lbs of live rock and has been up for over a week but I Ammonia and Nitrite is still zero. I have about 4 inches of Aragonite and did seed it with about 3 cups of "seasoned aragonite" from my 4 year old tank. The LR are mostly cured, no smell. Only a hand full had a little smell.

How do I cycle this tank if I can't get any Ammonia or Nitrite reading ?
Do I wait longer ?

What brand of test kit are you using and how old is it?

You could try tossing in a raw uncooked shrimp from your local deli and see if your test kit shows a change..

I'd do what GD said. If it doesn't have any ammonia to process...
