Ok i decided to take out my crushed coral sand... i want that white sand on the buttom of my tank crystal white sand. can i mix that with live sand??? and where can i get white sand???

yes you can mix it. i had the evs fine in my other tank, it's snow white. here is a pic of it. hof carries it also

If you have live rock that will seed the sand and you won't need live sand unless you just wnat to mix the two.

if you look at other members tanks... about 99% of them use sand beds... not crushed coral. There are reasons for this, the foremost being that crushed coral is a trap for detritus and will slowly build up nitrates in your tank. Sand is much easier to vacuum if needed and will become a benefit if you decide to do a Deep Sand Bed (4"+)
