ro storage tds

just got a tds meter.
the water coming from my ro reads 45tds, im getting new membrane soon.
but my 10g aga ro holding tank reads 150tds
the storage tank also has a pump and a heater could that have anything to do with it?

Any chance salt could have gotten into it? Wash out your holding unit, dry it and then retest. The heater or PH might have salt/crud on them, should rinse them off frequently.

Yes - remember you are reading TDS in parts per million - almost anything, including just a little dust, will change the tds.
