Hey you all.....

I just want to say hi to everyone. I am new to this website (modifying my personal info) Also, I need some info regarding water movement. I have a 24 gal nano cube.. I have read that the PH that comes with the setup is weak.. so I was thinking to buy a MJ1200.. what do you think? should I buy it, replace the one that I have for this MJ1200 or just add it to the tank to create more movement...

Welcome to MR. The stock pump runs hot. You could swap it out with an MJ1200 or 900 and lower your heat issues alot.

Plus the MJ has been more reliable for me. I ran the stock Nano pump on my 12g nano and had to swap it out after a month cause it stopped working.

corals : LPS, hammer, torch, frogspawm, zoos, candycream, and others.. (I would like to add some SPS.. but I need to get some MH.. )
PH : 290 GPH submersible pum
I just uploaded some pics..
it has been running for 3 months… no problems at all.. but im just little concerned.. perhaps my corals need more movement..

Chiefmcfuz thanks… now I would like to create some waves… should I get 2 MJ1200.. one to swap the one that I have out and the other one to create the waves.. or that will be too much movement…

for waves you will need a pulsator or do like chief and i have done and add a hydafor to the end of the powerhead it rotates making a wavy motion with the water, and i would wait alot longer before taking the dive into sps. also welcme to mr and the nano club :biggrin:

well.. I have read some post that PH stopped working after a month or so... I have my PH for 3 month so far and is working ... I am concerned about my corals.. like the torch that I have .. I know it requires medium to moderate current.. where I put it has moderate current but the water moves in only one direction.. That’s why I was thinking to get a second PH to move the water to the opposite direction... Creating some kind of waves... but I agree with the old saying reef man..

I went to aquatic Express and got quite a few beautiful corals.. Finally an aquarium close to my house.. is like 4 or 5 blocks away from my house...
