My MH fixture has PCs for actinic supplement if needed. Planning to keep mostly LPS, SPS and Zoanthids.

1. Which brand DE 250W MH bulbs are the brightest based on specific temperature bulbs? ex. XM 10K vs Hamilton 10K or Phoenix 14K vs Iwasaki 14K

2. How many Hydor Koralia's and what numbers would I need for a 72G bow front? What would be the best placement for these PH?

3. What combination of snails and hermit crabs would be best to decrease the chances of the hermit crabs eating the snails? (Looking for snails and hermit crabs that eat algae and detritus)

1. bulb temperature (color) is a VERY personal preference. I'm really liking the coloration of the Iwasaki 250w 14K DE bulb.......JMO.

2. Not possible to give a 'best placement' statement without knowing and seeing your aquascaping. Rock and formations will deflect flow and create more/less flow in certain areas.

3. I'm becoming more of a snail cleanup crew convert than in the past. I used to like a mix, but the hermits always seem to win over the snails. There are other options to hermits, like various shrimp, sand sifting stars, cucumbers, etc.

Sorry I wasn't more definitive about your questions/answers, but there are lots of 'right' was to do things in this hobby.
