I just love these corals and can't wait to have one in my tank, I have a pretty new system, been running for a month now but the water parameters are good. Is it too early to add a pulsing xenia in there? and where can I get them from? I haven't really seen them in the neighborhood stores.

make a post. they grow like wildfire and im sure someone can give u a frag. Xenia are actually a water filter of sorts, forgot the calculation for removal of waste compared to skimmate. Its not WOW but people do use them in a refugium for added waste removal. You could add a small piece to your tank since it won;t be throwing alot of waste into your system but i would wait a little longer before adding much else.

Whats your setup like? hard to tell if its ok without knowing what your set up is.

Great! I'm just fascinated with that pulsing movement, I think it's very relaxing, especially that my tank is in the bedroom! :)
My setup is attached to my response.

wow i'm slow today. :smash: Yeah the pulsing is awesome. Its something else to see them pulse to create a mini flow over them when the current stops during feeding and stuff. I miss my Xenia... :(

What happened to your Xenia Tony?

Rfny..good luck with your set up, sounds nice. Have you posted any pics yet?

Maybe you should wait a little more. Xenias require more established systems.
I have them like weed all over my tank, pm me in a few more months.
Just so you know I tried 2x to get xenias to take foot before I was successful.
