My first tank I started in October was a 37 gallon and well it became apparent fast that I was in love and that the love needed a bigger house. I bought a 120 in December and then didn't set it up until last weekend. I thought I would share some pics for others "with the dream."

glasscages 120 gallon tank with starfire glass on front
glasscages 30? gallon sump
aquaC EV 120 skimmer
Mag 5 pump
Penguin 1130 power head
Enheim 1262 return pump
Theo 400 Watt heater
100 lbs live sand
100 lbs of sorta live rock
Tek 6 bulb T5 lights

I have a RO/DI but it doesn't work due to my buildings pathetic water pressure. I had to go and buy 150+ gallons of distilled water. People at the grocery stores looked at me like I was a survivalist.

Everything is about a week old today and hope to start the aquascaping later on today. Tomorrow I should get my Tunze osmolator for the top off. And where do I buy some patience?

Looks like you are off to a good start! I like that pic looking through the bulkhead :)

The patience...that is the hardest part of having a reef tank! Yours will be tested a lot during the tank cycle!!

you can hook the ro-di up to the sink, it doesnt require alot of presure to run it, just takes time, it takes me about 5 hr's to make 20g, and nice start so far, would definately suggest getting bigger power heads

good luck with your setup..i had the ev 180 on a 90 gallon tank and i change the mag 7 to a mag 9 to get more performance..you may have to upgrade that skimmer later
Thanks! My friend told me that after it was already in the sump. I was thinking about overpowering it with the Mag7...
