That is the GFO that I use. I have done some makeshift testing of phosban, rowaphos and the PhoSar from Warner Marine, and the PhoSar worked just as well as the Phosban, but cost significantly less especially in bulk.

It is best to run any GFO in a reactor, and the phosban reactor is a good choice.

I just got the bulkreefsupply GFO a while back 5 gallon bucket for $250.. Works the same.. And it will probably last me about 2 years..

All GFOs pretty much work the same, but not all GFO are as effective at removing phosphate was each other. (i.e. Rowaphos will remove twice as much phosphates as Phosban... but then again it costs twice as much)

I have never tested the bulk reef supply GFO, but based on price it would be hard pressed to not be a good buy.

Hey reef why don't you just get the classic combo of the reactor by two little fishies and the phosban ...

I already have that Chris...it's just time to change my media so I'm wondering what is a good buy and what's good to use as replacement media

Thanks for the advice, I'll probably be ordering the 2000mL one soon. Thanks for the site too but MarineDepot has free shipping on orders of $175 or more and I'm planning on buying a few things, thanks anyways
