shipping question

Hi everyone,

I will be shipping two corals to a friend in Boston.. and I was wondering how many heat bags should I include...?? i was thinking one .. I will double bag them and cover with newspaper..

Any info will be appreciate it..

Well if they are 8 hr bags no matter how many you put in there they will only last around 8 hrs.

If you can get 24-48 hr heat packs you can put 1-2 of them in there.

ooh.. I didnt know about 24 hrs bags... uppss.. so I guess one bag for two corals will be fine... thanks guys....

You can get them at sporting good stores, hiking stores.

also make sure the heat pack is not directly touching one of the bags...could heat up the coral too much.

when i ship in the cold, i place the corals in double bags. place in a styrafoam line box, packed with newspaper and packing peanuts, and i also wrap the heat packs with newspaper, cause they can get kinda hot. two heat packs should cover the journey.
