I currently run my power compacts an average of 6 hours a day. I have a friend who has her lighting on a full 12 hours. I have frogspawns, xenia, torch, and a bubble coral and some zoas, do I need to leave my lighting on longer than 6 hours? How long would you guys recommend? (I have no issues with rapid temperature changes due to the the heat of the lights so leaving it on longer wouldnt be much of a problem)
and are moonlights nessecary to have on at night?

are you having success with the way it is now?

if yes then why change it?
enless you want your lights on longer, then YOU will have to see if its better or worse

and no moonlights are not nessecary to have on at night, I leave mine on for a few hours for my own personal enjoyment I dont notice an improvment in coral growth in anyway with it on or not its more for fish to be less freaked out at night(as I was told)
