This is an excellent skimmer. I received it yesterday, put the skimmer in a vinegar/water bath, and let it run for a few hours. The pump is a Sicce 1.0 (new style, extremely quiet pump).
Problem is, the skimmer won't fit in the rear chambers of my Solana.. I'm so impressed with this skimmer that the only other suitable replacement for me is going to be the HOB-1, which is the same skimmer, but a little larger and HOB. I hate to sell it but really have no choice.

It retails for $189. I had to wait a month from time of order until arrival because they sell out and they're not imported very often, so I've been told. This definitely isn't an easily obtainable skimmer.
That said, I'm asking $175 firm for the skimmer. It's essentially brand new, and is not going to be worth selling for less. Ill just keep it.

I don't have the stock skimmer, though. I'll keep an eye out. Maybe I can pick one up for cheap. My tank has been doing pretty well so far without one, too.. more water changes and GFO should help with a SLIGHT algae issue..
