For sale brand new opened last night Neptune Apex with lab grade ph probe.

I can return it but if anyone wants it at a discount I will help you out.

I paid $524

Selling for $430 on MR for a couple of days.

Why did I buy it to better understand my tank to try to aid in keeping SPS corals.

Why I am selling it because I dont have the patience to set this darn thing up. Program this, program that, arrgghhhhhhh

Messing around with it I activated the alarms and dont know how to turn them off and I am about to smash this thing!

I rather not know my PH nor my temp nor learn how to program.

If you want it, its brand new, opened last night $430 takes it.

Pleaseeeeee, do not bug me with lower offers, I have seen people pay $430 for an Apex that is out of warranty, this was opened last night.

You want me to ship it to you, sure $460 to cover fees and shipping, otherwise bring cash please.

I would be eternally grateful if you can help me with the following when you have a moment....not necessarily tonight, I am ready to take a framing hammer to this thing.

Relay on EB8 clicks on and off, by default I read, i dont have anything plug in yet so the clicking is annoying, HOW DO I STOP THE RELAY CLICKSSSSSS

How do I turn off alarms?

If I keep it I would like to do very basic things:

Return pump with feed mode
light timer, basic on and off, no dimming
Heater, on and off, automatic on if below 76f, automatic off if over 82f
chiller on if over 80f

I was trying to program outlet 1 to connect the return pump. Could not get outlet one to turn on but somehow I activate an alarm, a feed alarm and it just wont stop, the alarms forced me to unplug the display.

3 hours on Neptune's forum and RC....running low on wine and I can't drink the fish tank's vodka, well I could but that is running low as well.

I purchased a Apex JR on ebay, I called neptune and they were helpful. You may want to give them a call, great support team. Good Luck.

I am going to give it a try tonight, one last time and if I can't figure it out tonigth it will offered for sale in the order of interest received.

just keep it, once you get the hang of it, it will make things much easier. if i can use my reef keeper, I'm sure you can do it.

I'm really techno challenged and I've never used a controller on my tanks for that reason. But one of my LFS people is going to set it up for me... If you can't get it hooked up on your own, could you ask someone to do it for you?

Outlet 4 and/or 8 may be set to SET On - simply delete these outlets or change them to SET Off to stop the clicking.

As for the alarm, you may have SET On also on your alarm outlet - to make it stop change it to SET Off.

Ok, when I get home I will try to do that.
I tried this morning and all I could find was "fallback" "on" on some outlets so I turned that off but alarm did not cease.

Outlet 4 and/or 8 may be set to SET On - simply delete these outlets or change them to SET Off to stop the clicking.

As for the alarm, you may have SET On also on your alarm outlet - to make it stop change it to SET Off.

2 hours and 15 minutes on the phone with Apex. They got the unit online, turned off the alarm, turned off the relay activated outlet 1.

HOWEVER, THE DARN FEED MODE THEY SET ON OUTLET 1 IS NOT WORKING.

Does anyone know how to property activate the feed mode?

Have been trying to call them back and they wont answer and from the tone of the guy that was helping me they really want users to figure it out on their own using the internet.

appreciate the offers of assistance, finally got a chance to continue playing with it these evening and I am done, returning it.

My apologies for those that expressed interest in buying it, returning for zero loss, should have never purchased this thing.
