New Set up For sale, Must sell

So, I have my tank I want to part with. Had an original 1,000 budget, however blew passed that, and am heavily regretting it. It has all the best parts, and some killer corals and fish. I will list what it has, plus what I paid for it, to see where I am coming from. All of the fish and coral, have come from a very reputable source, I don't want to drop the name here, but if you message me, I gladly will.

EQUIPMENT

Tank was purchased new in February. 60 cube, frameless, with single over flow. Tank itself was 260.

Tank stand. It is the basic perfecto cube stand, black color. $210

Diablo 950 return pump. This is the controllable pump, that is super quiet. $140

Reef Octopus LSS 1000 skimmer/bubble blaster 1000. $330

If I did my math right, correct me if I am wrong, the total was about $3,350.The oldest piece of equipment in tank is the tank itself, and that was purchased Valentines day. Everything else, is newer, from that day forward.
I did not want to hang LED lights from ceiling, so instead I had a guy weld Stainless steel tubing, and made a post that comes up from back of tank, and bends over tank, hanging about 3 feet above tank. The light hangs from that, which is about 18 inches above water.

The seahorses are top notch. They are captive bred, from seahorse source.com. I have receipt of that to verify. I have had them since February (Originally set up 30 gallon tank for them, while I was cycling cube tank) They eat Frozen Mysis shrimp, pretty much non stop. They have grown from around 3 inches, to about 6 inches. If you are doing seahorses, you definitely want captive bred, as opposed to wild caught or tank raised. They are also sexed pairs, and have been doing the mating ritual over the past couple weeks.

The leopard wrasse was my 2nd one. The first one never ate and died. This one I have had for about a month, and is by far the best feeder in the tank.

I understand I will never come close to getting back what I put into the tank. I do not expect that, but will entertain offers. Lowballing will respectfully be ignored, I do not have to get rid of it (not moving etc) but would have rather have spent that money on other things (college load, pay off car, etc etc)

If the tank does not sell as a whole, I will consider parting it out, and the equipment would have to wait until all live stock is gone. I do not want to have seahorses, with no skimmer.

So please, let me know what you think is fair, and I will strongly consider it. I have a truck, and can even help with the transfer.

This would definitely be considered a medium difficulty tank. Seahorses eat a lot, as I feed about 5 cubes Mysis a day. A skimmer is a must, as well as a phos reactor.(which it has already) The corals I have, with exception of hammer, are all totally safe for seahorses. Some may argue, but truth is I have been reading and calling various seahorse breeders, for 2 years before taking the plunge into them. The maxspect light, is plenty strong enough for SPS. I only have it hit 80 percent max intensity during the day.

And last bit, the tank specs are as follows

SG 1.025, Temp: 74, Alk: 8, Magnesium 1400, Calcium 440, Amm. 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 20. PH 8.05.

All live stock has been in the tank for at least 3 weeks, most longer, and the parameters have been stable, as I check them at least 3x a week. Weekly water changes, 10 gallons, with reef crystals.

I will take some pictures this week when I can use my girlfriends camera. I only have the one on my phone, and the pictures I have taken are atrocious.

And I know I need a price for everything on here, so I will do so. All in all, I have close to 3500 into it. Being the tank is (Feb-Now) 3 months old, I think a 1000 hit is expected. So I will say 2500 for everything. I think that is fair for now, being my lights are 6 weeks old, skimmer 8 weeks, vortech 2 weeks, and return pump about 3 months.

Also, I should have mentioned this in my first posting. This is the "frameless" tank, not just rimless. Rimless, has no top trimming, but this frameless, has not trimming at all, top or bottom.

Also, while feeding seahorses this morning, I have a few things in there I left out. One is a maxima clam, another is a daisy polyps frag, and another frag I cant exactly put a name to.

No disrespect to your post but it seems as if you overpaid for a couple things. For example someone could buy the mr1 reactor with pump and piping for $100 shipped from marine depot. There is someone selling a brand new 60 gallon with stand for $350. You have a lot of nice stuff for sale but to be honest you may be better off parting out. Unfortunately in this hobby we will never get back what we started or put into it. Good luck with your sale and wish you the best

None taken. But your response is way off base. You are not comparing apples to apples...Allow me to enlighten:

The corals I have in this tank, if I paid window price at the given lfs, would have been 20-25 percent higher. Not to get into details, but using cash and other variables allowed me to save some money. For example, a large green welso, was advertised for 100. I paid 75. So you found one item, just one, where I spent 50 more on reactor, I saved elsewhere on corals, and then some.

Most of my stuff, vortech, maxspect, reef octopus, I can not buy cheaper except if I went used. All of those companies have an agreement, and they can not be undersold. You will notice, a vortech mp10, is no cheaper than 230, regardless if you go to a huge online place, or small mom and pop place.

And I also stated I do not expect to get back what I put in. I put in 3500, (lets use your example you found, and say 3450, because I over paid on reactor) being all of the stuff, not some but all, is less than 3 months old, I would think a 30 percent hit is more than enough. That is why I stated 2500.

And just to confirm, you get the reactor from marine depot for 100. Not sure if it comes with pump, but lets assume for your sake it does, now what do you put in it? Phosgaurd, is not cheap, and it was 34. So now I over paid by what, $16?

And someone is selling a 60 cube and stand for 350? Hmm, I know someone selling a car with 4 wheels, for 80k. I also know someone selling a car with 4 wheels, for 2k. (Ferrari vs Hyundai) Yes I could have saved money and went with cheaper deep blue tank, have to buy upgrade bulkheads, because we all know they leak, but I went with frameless, not rimless (cheaper) and got the better over flow kit. The stand, mine was 220. You can call around, they actually go for 275 in most places. I could have spent 40 bucks on 2x4s, and technically have a stand, but I went with the best.

I have someone coming to look this weekend at entire set up for 2500. If I can get that, great, if not, well, sounds like I can hold onto set up for a year or two, maybe regrow some interest, and still sell it at what I could now. I just figured, this is very close to new, so why wait until the stuff is a year old.

At end of day, all I know is if you went and bought all of what I have, and paid the price an lfs asks for corals, you would be at 4000 easy. Don't have to sell, just don't like what I paid for, so if I can recoup some great, if not, will not be giving it away.
