I have a 75G tank with a 50G fuge filled to the brim, and a 40G sump about half way. So I have approx. 130G of volume give or take some. I have a calcium reactor rated for a 300G tank that I set up 3 days ago. Its running with a ph inside of 6.5-6.6 and with the effluent at 1 drop per second. I use Red Sea pro for my salt mix. I noticed today my sps have burnt tips which are typically associated with high alk, so that's the first thing I checked for and noticed immediately that I had a problem. My alk was at 14dkh, my magnesium was over 1600 and my calcium was 430 (checked with red sea & salifert ca, mg & alk test kits). I've slowed my effluent drip to about a bubble every 2 seconds. What do I do with my alk and mag?????
