I got this three days ago. Today I decided to set it up. The reason for buying this was for Automatic Water Changes. After setting it up I realized Neptune suggests not running the pump continuously. I thought I could run to change five gallons at a time.
Neptune says heat is an adversary of these kind of pumps so it has to be run in intervals. Not looking to do water changes in a whole day or week in that sense. I wanted to start the doser and finish five gallons in couple hours.
Not happening with this. I am better of going with genesis.
I did punch the holes in back to mount it and did cut the Neptune tubing so one is short and other is very long. You can see in pics. Might be a scratch in back when I was punching holes.
I am coming down to city tomorrow near ozone park if anyone wants to pick up. Cash is good or you can paypal when we meet.
After tomorrow pick up will be near yonkers or weschester. Please pm.
