how much mesh do you need? and for what screen top or for algae scrubber?

Suggest you use a glass test vial, not the plastic one(s) that come with the kit. The glass is much easier to keep clean.

The clear mesh would be for a diy screen top
But would pretty much trade for anything useful locally test kit was only $12 so not worth returning
