Sump configuration

Hi all , I can use advice on my sump. It's a 30 gallon that is for my 75 gallon tank all I have going on is filter sock , some foam blocks , then a refugium maybe 1 foot by 1 foot which has four inches of sand , two large peices of rock and a small ball of chaeto which is not growing , my nitrates are 10 ppm, what do you pros suggest

not a pro here, but suggest you put an algae scrubber (waterfall) instead of a fuge. Takes less space and works much better.

Algaescrubbing.com will give u the basics. Turbo is really helpful. I have same user name there if u wanna read my thread under general discusssion.

do you have room for a protein skimmer? unbeatable in my opinion. go for something that's rated 2x the tank size you have (-125-150).
