Id say 75% of the posts on here are so marked up in price. Everyone is trying to pay their whole hobby with one polyp/fish. It should be more about supporting the hobby instead of your incomes.

I agree with some of what you're saying. But is it fair for a hobbyist to purchase the $300 polyp while others sit on the side line waiting to get it cheaper! If I spend my hard earn money on high end corals, and my corals grow, dam if I don't frag it and make a little money to upgrade, or buy other reef stuff. 95% of the members sell frags here.

Ask your buddy if he?s interested in a trade and cash deal. I can give him a 15? neon green carpet anemone and $50 cash for one of his clowns. One of my blackstorms disappeared from my tank and need one or the other to pair with the remaining. It?s hard to sell your stuff for what the creators are selling them for when the hobbist are breeding them and selling for less than half. It?s the only reason why I won?t sell any of my 200+ Jawbreaker?s. Everyone wants to lowball you!

For example, these clowns. They may go for 100$ at the LFS, but that LFS probably paid 50% of that from whole sale?

Yes but LFS assumes all risk when first purchasing. Also have high overhead running a shop. My electric bill is crazy at my house. A store pays higher rate and much more. They are supposed to make a profit or they will be out of business. It?s not a hobby to them.
