I'm unfortunately having to break down my nano reef tank. I absolutely love this tank but I'm moving out of the area and all of its contents must go!
I'm having trouble posting photos of the tank and livestock so I've provided a link to view them: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LxRs8MCT5RQd375Q8
This tank has been established for 2 years and is in great shape and is low maintenance.
Condition of Sale: This tank is still running I want to ideally sell the entire set-up together. If this is not possible, the livestock and corals must be sold first before selling the equipment. I'm willing to sell everything (equipment and livestock) for $575 OBO: with the quality of the corals and the equipment, I believe this price is a steal.
Current maintenance schedule includes a weekly cleaning of tank glass and 30% water change (5 gallons). Salt I use is red sea reef pro and the salinity is 35 grams per liter. Temperature I keep the tank is 25.6 degrees C. I used to chase calcium and alkalinity parameters and would dose 2-part with peristaltic pumps, but realized the level of work required to stay on top of this is too much work for a tank of this volume. The only dosing I perform on the system is kalkwasser in the auto-topoff.
Equipment: All of the equipment was bought brand new and are max 2 years old. I'm including individual prices on the equipment in the event livestock has already been sold. I will be updating this thread as livestock/equipment are sold.
- Tank: Fluval Evo 13.5 gallon tank ($100).. I still have the original light and aquarium top that came with the tank, however I run the tank with a different light and have the top removed.
- stock return pump that came with the tank.
- Light: Kessil A80 Tuna Blue with gooseneck ($90 for set) with the kessil spectral controller on a custom lighting schedule of approximately 12 hrs ($60) [URL="https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/a80-tuna-blue-nano-led-light-kessil.html"]https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/a80-tuna-blue-nano-led-light-kessil.html.
- pump: Tunze Turbelle nanostream 6020 ($30). https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/turbelle-nanostream-6020-10-66-gal-tunze/?gclid=CjwKCAjwmNzoBRBOEiwAr2V27ZYzokIYJ9K8uryNfGeDTVOsRVwCOT15ppJS1MZJpNn7uG5jQM0bSxoCHMEQAvD_BwE
- GFO/Carbon reactor ($15) https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-gfo-carbon-reactor-5-single.html
- Refugium reactor containing chaeto. The refugium light runs an opposite light schedule from the tank light. (free)
- Tunze nano auto top-off ($65). https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/tunze-osmolator-nano-3152-auto-top-off.html Pump has been replaced within the last 6 months.
- Heater: 25 watt Cobalt Aquatics neo-therm ($25). https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/cobalt-neo-therm-submersible-heater.html. 1 year old.
Other equipment available for sale outside of the aquarium set:
- CO2 scrubber reactor. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-universal-co2-scrubber.html and ~80% left of the scrubber media ($25)
- CO2 regulator I have from past freshwater aquariums ($60)
- 1 5 pound CO2 tank ($40)
Livestock:
- a pair of clowns which have been in the tank since its inception ($10 for the pair). The clowns host 2 of the three branching hammers and the mushroom corals. At night, each one sleeps in their own hammer coral.
- 1 orange-spotted goby paired with a tiger pistol shrimp, that have been paired for 1 year ($20 for the pair).
- about 5 astrea snails, 5 red and blue legged hermit crabs, 5 nasarius snails ($5 for all)
Corals: All corals were dipped prior to tank introduction.
LPS Corals:
- 1 green branching hammer with 2 heads. 2 years old. One head died about 1 year ago due to lack of light but the remaining two have fully extended polyps and is healthy. ($20)
- Bicolored hammer (green with purple tips). This is a great piece! It is roughly 4 inches across with 10 heads. ($70)
- white hammer I believe this is a wall hammer, not branching, but not sure ($5). piece is 2 inches across.
- Red Acan: coral is 2 years old and about 3 inches across. Super healthy with about 10 polyps ($5)
- Teal candy cane with yellow mouth: Recently split into 3 heads ($20).
Soft Corals:
- Zoas: They look like cherry tomato zoas but am not sure. there are about 8 polyps. Colors are not as vibrant as they were a year ago but are healthy ($5).
- Green Ricordea: 2 polyps that are each about 3 inches across and are stunning ($20).
SPS:
- Green encrusting montipora: has encrusted about 10 square inches of surface area on top of live rock. I won't necessary be able to easily remove this from the live rock. Ideally would be sold with the live rock ($15).
- Cyphastrea blue skeleton with green polyps frag that is about 2 by 1 inch across ($5).
- Green Pavona. Piece is roughly 6 inches square. can be fragged into 3 pieces ($15)
Live Rock and sand: rock and sand has been present in the aquarium since inception.
- 6 lbs of pukani live rock ($30)
- 4 lbs of reef saver rock ($20)
- 20 lbs of CaribSea Fiji pink sand ($5)
Pest:
- A small population of vermitid snails is present but there aren't signs that they've been irritating the corals. These can be scrubbed off the live rock when the tank is being broken down.
I welcome all offers! please email me for further inquiries. [email protected]
