Maroon Clown - Free to good home

I've had a maroon clown for about 3 months now. Got him from Awibrandy. He looks and eats healthy. Hasnt been aggessive with rest of tankmates.

But, he's been digging up the sand on his side of the tank, which is now messing up the flow. And making me worry about all the crap he's unleashing as he digs.

Pretty fish but I'm too anal to put up with the aggrevation. Will turn him over to LFS unless someone up here around southwest CT wants him.

She is not releasing anything. Its just a behavior i have one that does the same thing. Do you have anenomes to keep her busy? Dont give her up. :sad2:

I have a maroon clown, who was the only survival of the holocast in my tank.
He used to do the same until I got him an anemone.
He made a hole around the anemone and now is happy hosting in there.
It has not bother my sand anymore.

He's a beautiful fish. I would not get rid of him.

How big is it?

Mark...You're rite about beautiful fish. I have no anemone; my impression has always been they require special handling i'm just not up for AND that they move about the tank disturbing corals.

I have frogspawn and hammer that i hoped he/she would host. But no luck. My true perc is pretty aggressive and keeps the maroon pinned to the far third of the tank. Maroon seems okay there and stays busy excavating.

Deanos is rite (as usual) about my concern for the detritus and/or toxins that supposedly build up in the sandbed and are now being released. Hopefully the pace is slow enough that the tank handles it. I've not noticed any change in parameters.

Waiting for wife to come home with pics in case Darez doesnt work out.

I own a maroon clown and love the guy. He's always hungry and loves to watch me watching him. I'd love a second one, hopefully to raise little clowns, but my parameters aren't all that great yet, and I'd rather not risk it.

I bought an anemone about a year ago and the clown was really happy. Well, that anemone split, and half of it died. What's left now is about the size of a nickle. Sad to watch.
