Pump is the stock pump that came with it... Sedra KSP-3500.

No mods made. I've had no problems with it.

The available space in my sump is 9"x9". But I have a return pump in there as well. If I get rid of the sponge and put the return pump in it's place, do you think I will have enough room left for your protein skimmer? If yes, then I'll take it.
