We moved back in August, and my old 210gal tank does not fit in the space we have available in the new residence. I regrettably am going to put the system up for sale.
Tank, Stand, and Canopy:
This is a standard Reef Ready Glass Cages 240 Long that was custom ordered as 84 x 24 x 24 (it is one foot shorter - this is a 7ft long, nominal 210 gal tank). The two side and front panels are Starphire glass. The tank has the dual reef ready overflows with black acrylic covers. The overflows are plumbed with supply and two Aqueon return kits. The bulkheads (there are four, two for supply and two for return) are of high quality and seal. The tank is completely clean, and comes with an egg crate base on which to place your rockwork. The tank is exceptionally strong and well built. It is also very heavy. The tank also comes with two 1-1/2" supply and two 2" return lines hard plumbed using Schedule 80 PVC and high quality Hayward TB true union ball valves. The lines transition down to 1" for supply, and expand from 1-1/2" return to 2". You can either connect a basement sump to the two 1-1/2" supply lines at a male threaded fitting and the two 2" return lines at a male threaded fitting, or unthread the plumbing for a sump in the stand. The ball valves are 1" and 1-1/2".
The red oak custom stand is included from All-Glass. This is the 30" high version. The stand has been painted black on the outside and weatherproof white on the inside. A PVC shower pan pad has been installed and siliconed into the bottom to permit easy cleanup and to protect the wood from moisture. The tank was previously installed for a basement sump, and there are four holes (two for the 1-1/2" supply and two for 2" return lines). There are also 2-3 smaller holes to permit the passing of electronics into and out of the stand. The stand includes a side door on the left (when facing the stand).
A 1" thick piece of foam insulation sites between the stand and the tank.
The red oak custom canopy is included. The canopy has been modified from the Glass Cages design to permit hinged opening of the front panels (they open up on hinges). As with the stand, the inside has been pained with a white, weatherpoof paint to resist the UV light, moisture, and salt. The outside is painted black. There are handles on both sides to permit lifting the canopy on and off. The back of the canopy is closed, with the exception of hole to permit attachment of a 4" HVAC duct to pull air out of the canopy. There are holes drilled in the ceiling of the canopy that will permit installation of vinyl coated cup hooks that will permit the hanging of either three XR30 Radions or 5 T5 fixtures (two 24" T5 fixtures and two 48" fixtures plus a 36" fixture in the backmost row). The T5 fixtures are a part of this sale and listed below. Present hook configuration is for the Radions but it takes a few minutes to adjust. The pattern is one 24" and one 48" in the front row, one 48" and one 24" in the middle row, and one 36" in the back row.
This was a young aquarium. It was purchased in August 2018 and was only in use for a little under two years. It is on moving dollys in my basement right now.
The retain price new for this is $3,312, and that's not counting motor freight and then picking this up at a YRC freight terminal. I will sell the tank, stand, and canopy together for less than half: $1,600 (or $1500 if you do not want the Hayward TB valves -- those are expensive and I can reuse them).
Pickup is in Scarsdale, NY. Please note this is a very well built aquarium with the construction of a tank, which means that it is heavy. I can help you load it into a truck, but you will need at least three capable adults. You will also probably need to rent a UHaul. I have two glass suction cups, but you may need to borrow some more. It is an easy load, however, as the tank is on moving dollys and can be rolled right to the driveway where it could be loaded on a truck.
T5 Lighting:
As noted above, the aquarium comes with five (5) T5 lighting fixtures (two 24" single track T5 fixtures, two 48" single track T5 fixtures, one 36" single track T5 fixture). These will fit into the canopy on hooks (the T5 lighting fixtures have been modified by the addition of a threaded eye hook -- you can remove the eye hook and revert to other hanging kits). The T5 fixtures are made by Supra Slim Line. There is a sixth 36" single track T5 fixture that is also included. A major reefing supply company sent it to me by accident. These fixtures were bought at the same time as the aquarium, in August of 2018. They were used for less than a year before I switched over to Radions. The retail price for these fixtures is $738.76. I will sell them for less than half as a lot for $350. You can have them for $200 is you buy the aquarium, stand, and canopy. I don't have any pictures of them, as they are wrapped up carefully in cardboard boxes from our move. I can unwrap them if you're interested. I would like to keep these together as a lot, but if the aquarium sells without the lights, I will part out. I'll keep you posted. Pickup is in Scarsdale, NY.
Reef Octopus Skimmer:
This is a Red Sea Reef Octopus Classic 202-S Skimmer. It has an 8" internal body. This skimmer was also used for less than 2 years, having been purchased in 2018. The skimmer has been completely cleaned. It actually comes with a choice of two lids. One lid has a float switch for the Reef Octopus controller (not included, but if you have that, it might interest you). That's the lid shown in the photo. There is another option of a lid with a float switch that can be wired to an APEX breakout module. It's your choice which you want. This skimmer retails for $450. I will sell it for $250. If you buy the aquarium, stand, and canopy, I will sell it for $200.
Thank you for looking,
Matt
ETA.: I forgot to add: if you buy the tank, I'll throw in a free Danner Supreme Mag Drive Model 12B 1200 gph pump, cleaned and in perfect working order.
