I have a well cared for 14 gallon biocube for sale. I live in Park Slope Brooklyn and you would have to pick it up. I can assist by donating buckets and tubing and helping to transport it. Its contents are:
10 lbs vanuatu and tonga live rock
10 lbs live sand
mated pair (2) of skunk clownfish
1 Long tentacled Anenome
1 Cleaner shrimp
1 pink and green lobophyllia
4 blue leg hermit crabs
Random sea weed to assist in water conditioning.
The tank and its inhabitants are 3 years old. I have continually dosed with calcium, strontium, iodine, etc. and conduct 50% water changes once every 2 months.
So why am I selling it?
The biocube's hood and light system is having problems. The lights will not turn out properly all the time. I replaced the ballasts and it only moderately helped.
I think the hood needs a new fan, possibly new wiring in the hood area. The lobophyllia is a little sickly and needs more light.
I am selling because I am moving out of the city in March and will not be able to take it with me. Very sad day indeed. I have enjoyed this tank and it will make someone else very happy.
