  1. Frags for *BROKEN* 32G 4th gen iPod Touch Trade

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm going to try this out... I have a broken 4th generation Ipod Touch (32GB) and it does not power on. Additionally someone opened it and they bent the silver case along the edges more than was necessary. I checked and all of the parts seem in...

  9. Halimeda for Sale/Trade (pics)

Halimeda for sale or trade. Amount is about that shown in the image. Could be attached to a rock or anchored in substrate. Is a fast grower, resilient, moderate nitrate exporter, and calcifying macro. Trade preferable, but can sell as well. About 5 or 6 bags available at this time. 1 bag...
  10. Nitrates: A Cautionary Tale

Update: Well with the 4th of July Sale at Manhattan Aquarium I couldn't resist and went there to try to purchase back some of the pieces I lost. It seems that my tank wasn't ready for it because they did not do well and to add some more strain on the tank, the new frogspawn that I introduced to...
  11. Nitrates: A Cautionary Tale

Whatever caused the death of the corals led to the ammonia spike. I used the TOPFIN brand. Unfortunately the dying seems to be continuing despite the nitrates and ammonia coming down. It doesn't seem like my chalice will make it anymore. I'll get some images up soon.
  12. Bluespot jawfish

This is Dig Dug. He doesn't bother, eat, or bond with any shrimp I have had in my tank. He just blows water at them when they get close to his homes.

Could you post an image? What kind of mushroom is it?
  14. Nitrates: A Cautionary Tale

Hey, thank you for your feedback. What did you have in mind when you said to look at my sand? The readings for Nitrates and Ammonia do tend to be higher near the ground when they are present but I siphon the sand whenever I do water changes. I suppose that when you use SeaChem the sand would...
  15. Nitrates: A Cautionary Tale

Thank you. No, it didn't cross my mind at the time to keep the lights on for 24hrs a day. My primary exporters are in the main display though. I was going to get another test kit once I found out that the API kits were giving me trouble, but haven't yet. I switched to RO about 8 months ago. I...

  18. Nitrates: A Cautionary Tale

I have kept a thriving reef tank for about a year and a half and recently experienced my first crash, which unfortunately, wiped out much of the life in the tank. I thought that I?d share my experiences, habits, and what I have learned the hard way in case others experience similar problems...
  19. Mystery: Both Cleaner Shrimp Die at The Same Time

I have a few small acropora, chalice, blue cesp., green star polyps, assorted mushrooms, duncans, chilli coral, star polyps, frogspawn, euphyllia gab., various zoas/pallys/buttons, a few sponges, several acan, anthellia. That's about it off the top of my head.
  20. Mystery: Both Cleaner Shrimp Die at The Same Time

Calcium is around 600 ppm at this time, but it is tough to get a reliable reading with my API test kit. I have a few small acropora currently. Instant OceanReef Crystals Reef Salt is what I use and I recently opened the last bag. I have changed the water yesterday and the salinity is now at...
