    Spartans advice is perfect for you. Nice start and welcome to the hobby. P.S. Remember to test your parameters at least once a week for a while. Especially the basics such as salinity, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

    Chefjpaul is right... you have coral in there already so you have to find a nice balance for the lighting. 6-10 hrs should be a good range to stay with for now.

    Pics? It's hard not to recommend a whole new sump under any scenario. If that sump decides it wants to go faulty when your not around... then you'll be walking back into your home with water everywhere and a complete loss of your tank inhabitants.
