Well Just got a PH monitor finally but the thing is saying my ph is way to high, i dont know if the prob is its not calibrated right or what (it was a hand me down probe) but prior to putting it in my tank it was used on kuyas and it read fine, so if its the case how can i lower my ph naturally but slowly? its reading 8.5ish

First thing you should do is make sure the probe is reading correctly. You can get fluid packets to calibrate the probe but I would just use a test kit right now to make sure.

And if it is at 8.5 I would do nothing. 8.5 isn't too extreme and it will come down on its own if you don't dose anything. Some people keep their ph at 8.3/8.4 all the time.

Tru your right, just got alittle concerned for the inverts in my tank, it goes down to 8.3 steadily at night but never gets to 8.2...I will test the probe but should i try that ph lowering stuff ever or no, just curious what an alarming leveled ph would be that i should watch for....:starfish:

On second thought, I reconsidered. I shouldn't sell it. That's not right. All my MR buds have been too good to me  . I'll give it away free, you just have to hold the cup!
