his skimmer drained his sump, 200 gals of water down the sewer pipes. used tap and dechlorinator to replace the water with.
His tank was really an inspiration when trying to aquascape and what a big loss :eek::frown:

and that was an awesome tank. it was an inspiration for every reefer out there.

Why would he use tap water? I find that very odd that he would do that, even in a case of emergency. Also adding freshly made saltwater at the same time. The whole thing sounds like such a newbie mistake.

Damn, i used to think that was the perfect tank. Hands down the best tank and setup i've seen. I am sure he will recover, but i feel for his losses.

ye everyone is sad, but lets hope steve remains as optimistic like he currently is. IM sure his rebounce will be great. I look fowards to his recovery and his new tank. never the less his tank like kedds is a great inspiration to everyone, including myself.

they say desperate times call for desperate measures. he might have not been thinking at that time and just had to do what he had to do to try to make it better probably wasnt thinking about it much..... if 200 gals of my sump were missing i'd freak out and..... :arg:
