I call it "My Hybrid Sump"
1st stage of filtration:
Single filter sock, protein skimmer, Chemi-pure/Purigen, Filter pad, then to return
2nd stage of filtration:
305 Fluval(connect to sump chamber 2, w/protein skimmer) filled with Eheim media( to promote more biological breakdown) through chiller, then to return.
3rd stage of filtration:
305 fluval(connect to sump chamber 2, w/protein skimmer) filled with eheim media( to promote more biological breakdown) through chiller, through reactor(filled with Kent mixed bed resin) through Chemi-pure/Purigen, Filter pad, then to return.
With a five gallon water change a week, daily dosing, profilux plus 2 controller, mp40esw, and a apc battery back up keeps my water clean, lights controlled and little to no stress to my Aquarium.
