got pissed removed all filtration exept the skimmer. will be adding a 30 gallon fuge also.

the problem was the tank after a year and a half still seemed sterile , to clean.

I had been chunking whole mussels and tons of food in it with no effect.

after 1 week with nothing but a skimmer .. you can barley see through the glass and it looks filthy.

I feel better now ... I have something to do

Just wanted to take a second and post about the skimmer I use. Bubble Magus 180 EX , this is one of the knock off ATB skimmers they put out with a huge atman pump. after 2 years I have to say this skimmer is as good or better then any of the space saver cones from octo or anyone else. especially when considering the price!

I am not sure if you can still get these off ebay? but for the price if you have anything under 200g this skimmer gets 10/10 from me. Its a War Lord!!

I never have to adjust it and it consistently pulls dark funky skim mate , with no attention from me other then empty the cup.
