Hi, Polywise.
Yeah I still got the skimmer never used it. LOLO Actually it was for this tank but i ended buying the Vertex Alpha royal 200.
Its Taking forever. I'm just building it a little at a time. I got about 75 % of water in it so far.. and doing tweaks here and there.

The Tank has been cycling for 2 weeks now. Had a few leaks . Didn't tighten the bulk heads .
All is good for now.

Made a shelve to store my ProfiLux 3 eXn Aquarium controller

Cut out some holes so you can view the tanks while sitting on couch .

Still working on the framing , so that it will look like a picture frame

Finished changing out some leds . Now i have Whites, Red and Blue with dimmer.

Janey,
If it's going into into a 2" slip fitting (either a pipe) or ( a bulk head )
Here is what I did:

I bought a 2" threaded strainer from my LFS, and wrapped the threads with a bunch of teflon tape to build up the dimenson so that I got a mild press fit into the fitting. This way it can be easily pulled out in the tank for cleaning.....
